About The Event

The Location
Situated close to the main historic sites in Stirling, the Old Town Jail is considered to be within one of the most paranormally active areas of the city. Opening in 1847, the jail was a replacement for the tollbooth. Prisoners were initially kept apart and attempts were made to prepare them for a better future when released, yet before long the system began to crumble and the jail became overcrowded. Children as young as 6 years old could be imprisoned there until an act of parliament ended this in 1886.
