Mary Cunningham.
I live in Fife Scotland and I have been involved in the paranormal now for almost 6 years and, throughout those 6 years I have been privileged to work along side some of the most interesting knowledgeable people in the paranormal field. I have had a few strange things happen around me over the years which I couldn’t explain so, it lead me to try and find some answers by contacting a paranormal group back in 2005 which helped me a lot and I took it from there.
“Real investigations” is what I strive for by using up to date equipment. I have always used rational thinking in the past and found that it works for me and my own beliefs, a well balanced mind is a must so therefore I welcome other possible explanations for alleged activity and simply do not dismiss them altogether.I am open to all possibilities and I usually conduct investigation in such a way that I must at all times, be aware of other peoples beliefs and respect them for what they are. Not everyone thinks as I do therefore I must allow for this and take their opinions on-board too.
When I think back to past investigations I have performed -setting up of equipment- I remember the excitement I felt in thinking “maybe this time” we will capture something that we can’t explain away logically. On most investigations 99.9% of the time we capture very little but, it has never put me off investigating and I’ll go on trying for as long as I can.The paranormal for me is something that will intrigue me for a long long time to come.My favourite investigations has to be private homes,if we can help any client who contacts us then I feel we have done something worthwhile with our time spent there. However!…if something should arise outwith our field of knowledge that we can`t help with eg; the religious aspect of things, then we will call someone in who can if the client so wishes.
I am also involved fully with International Paranormal Investigators (IPI) and I have helped introduce some new and exciting projects that will hopefully help IPI to grow even more. My position of IPI Co-ordinator is very important to me so anything I can contribute makes the world of difference.
I am also part of TAPS Family international recruitment team so I`am looking forward to the task of contacting paranormal groups from all over Europe to join us.

I have lived in fife for the last 32 years. I’m originally from the west coast near Glasgow. It was something that happened 34 years ago that got me in to the paranormal and looking for some answers. I didn’t really start looking seriously until about 6 years ago. When I joined a group called Scottish Paranormal, I think that’s when my appetite for the paranormal increased, during those years I had worked with a few mediums but through time with so many differences of opinions I left Scottish Paranormal and, took some time out.
I re-joined joined Scottish Paranormal a few months later and decided at our first team meeting we would not have any mediums on our team as we wanted to go down a more technical route using our equipment. I think I came to the conclusion that if there is anything out there “without a medium telling me” I wanted to say it scientifically with the aid of the equipment to say that there is and we have proof.
I will continue to keep an open balanced mind on investigations and I look forward to continuing my research into the paranormal and who knows, maybe I`ll find out the truth for myself. I have totally enjoyed the last 6 years learning and experiencing working together as a team and look forward to the future with Scottish Paranormal.

I am originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, but I moved to Fife in early 2008. For some reason I always felt drawn to Scotland, and always wanted to live close to Edinburgh, as I love the architecture and history of the old town.
I have always had an interest in the paranormal, but when a toss of a coin led me and a friend to do a ghost tour in the underground vaults while on a trip to Edinburgh, I came out hooked. After emerging from the vaults I noticed I had scratches on my right shoulder, and a handprint on my neck, I had to find out what had caused it, and I have ventured into the dark depths of the vaults many times since, including a 6 hour overnight vigil, of which 30-40 minutes I spent alone with no lights or candles to illuminate the dark vaults. I remember hearing different and strange noises down there that I cannot explain.
And so I have set myself a mission to find out what if anything lurks in the depths of the Blaire Street Vaults, and IF there is such a thing as “The Paranormal”.
Even though I have had the experiences, I still remain sceptical, and before I will change that I need to have some sort of undeniable evidence. When my interest in the paranormal started it lead me to join a Scottish forum on the paranormal (www.scottish-paranormal.co.uk), and my interest has grown ever since, and now I find myself part of an exciting new group, that uses only rational and scientific methods, which I believe is the only real way anyone is going to find anything out about the paranormal, if there is such a thing…
As for the tossing of a coin leading to all this, fate or not, I am enjoying the journey.

I have lived in Mid-Lothian, Scotland my whole life.My interest in the paranormal started back in my teenage years when I began to experienced some “strange happenings” in my childhood house. At the time they were frightening and I wanted to get some answers as to what was going on.It wasn’t until a good few years later I came across the Scottish Paranormal forum and started reading articles and chatting about my experiences to others on there that I gained enough knowledge and understanding to realise that most of my experiences could be explained. But then there was the few that could not! I was lucky enough to become an investigator with Scottish Paranormal in 2007 and got to work along side some very interesting and knowledgeable people. As well as also investigating some great locations! Unfortunately I had to step down from my role and take some time out of the field.Rejoining Scottish Paranormal as their case manager I look forward to increasing my knowledge and skills even further. But most of all I am looking forward to helping Scottish Paranormal catch that one vital piece of evidence that will make sitting for those many hours talking to yourself (or were we??) in a dark (or sometimes light room) very worth it!

Hi, I’m Roe the overseas investigator that is currently in the States. I am honored to be part of the investigation team with Scottish Paranormal & look forward to assisting in whatever manner possible including international investigations.
I have always been interested in the paranormal and attended my first official investigation several years ago with Ryan, Mary, and Jim during Edinburgh Ghost Fest. Since then I have been involved with several interesting investigations around Louisiana including a Marie Laveau property, several hotels in the French Quarter, a Bourbon St. ballroom, and even a post Katrina haunting in a bar.
I am in the process of moving to North Carolina at the beginning of 2009.
